Risk, Ill. History

Risk is a station and post office at the junction of the Kankakee and Bloomington branch of the Illinois Central and the Wabash railroads in Fayette Township, one mile north of Strawn. The Middle Division Elevator Company has an elevator here. John Hueni is manager. The grain shipments for 1897 were 300 cars of corn and 90 cars of oats.
