The funeral for Mrs. Hazel L. Mantos,
83, 712 W. Sherman Ave. was held at 11 a.m. today at the Raleigh J. Harris
Funeral Home. The Rev. Stanley Murdock
of the First Baptist Church officiated.
Mrs. James McCabe was organist.
Burial was in South Side Cemetery.
Mrs. Mantos, who had been in failing
health two years, died Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at St. James Hospital.
She was born Oct. 10, 1892, at
Pontiac, a daughter of Irving and Harriet (Platt) Denning, She was married to
Sam Mantos
May 4, 1925 at Chicago.
Surviving are her husband and several cousins. A sister and a brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mantos belonged to the Baptist
Church
