Harriet
Denning Dies in Kewanee
Mrs. Harriet (Platt) Denning, 88,
Kewanee a former Pontiac resident died at 6 a.m. today at Kewanee public
hospital.
Her body will be brought to the
Raleigh J. Harris funeral home. Arrangements are incomplete.

Harriet
Denning Funeral to be held Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Harriet
(Platt) Denning, 88, Kewanee, a former Pontiac women who died Thursday morning
in Kewanee, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Raleigh J. Harris funeral
home. The Rev. A. B. Morrow will
officiate. Burial will be in South Side
cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at
the funeral home.
Mrs. Denning was born Oct 20, 1871, in
Pontiac, a daughter of George and Sarah (Stevens) Platt. She was educated in Pontiac schools. Until nine years ago she lived in Pontiac,
moving to Chicago where she lived with her son.
She was married to Erwin Denning in
Pontiac in 1889. He died in 1907.
Survivors
are a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Mantos, Chicago; a son John Denning, Kewanee; two
nieces, Mrs. Marie Albert and Mrs. Pearl Dietrich, Pontiac.
She
was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Vera Brokenshire, in September, 1958;
a brother, Ben Platt; two step-brothers, George J. and Myers Platt; two
sisters, Mrs. Minnie Robinson and Mrs. James Curry, and a step-sister, Mrs.
Nattie Garner.
