Loretto, Ill. History

Loretto is the only post office in Livingston County that is not a railroad station. It is located in Union Township, and receives mail from Odell three times a week. About 30 people reside within half a mile of the post office. Theo Theis is the Postmaster. A German Catholic Church and school are located here. Rev. Eckert is rector of the parish. Services are held every Sunday.
